Try not to Cram:

It is enticing to deplete yourself with everything conceivable and do whatever you can do. However, watch out as this behavior can also backfire!

Balance activity with rest, and listen to your body. Stop before you become exhausted and hit a wall. Otherwise, you may pay for it the next day

Deal with Your Body

The matter of utmost importance for you is to deal with MS. It is critical to deal with your physical and psychological health. Please note that Multiple Sclerosis does not secure you against other diseases.

In fact, you have to keep yourself from infections like flu, now as infections are one of the leading causes or MS  ( relapses along with:

  • Stress
  • Heat,
  • Lack of sleep,
  • Skipping Medication, and
  • Smoking.

Take very good care of your psychological and physical health, not for anyone else, but for your sake!

Depression, on the other hand, is more long-lasting, and serious than stress. It needs to be treated differently.. In a 2010 study by the American College Health Association:

  • A wheelchair (electric or manual),
  • a moving walker,
  • a cane or stick now.

Always have gadgets ready to help you to move easily. Make those a part of your personality. You can decorate them as per your style!

We all use assistive devices such as smartphones or computers.

Using a mobility device isn’t giving in to the disea`se — it’s a way of taking charge of it and using the tools you need to get the job done.

Exercise Regularly

Exercise is as significant as consuming a healthy diet and abstaining from stress to carry on with content & happy life with MS, Make it a habit. We have talked about its significance in a past post.

More or less, you should do moderate exercises on a continues basis. You can and should do the following 3 types of exercises:

  1. Aerobic exercises,
    Aerobic activities will improve bladder and bowel function,
  2. Stretching exercises,
    Stretching activities will profit in relieving stiffness & in improving adaptability, flexibility & mobility, and
  3. Strength training.
    Strength Training exercises, as the name sounds, will help muscles gain necessary strength.

Make an MS friendly Home and Office

MS patient has restricted the storage of energy. it is essential to wisely use it. Hence, arrange your environment, with just one goal in mind:

To reach that goal you have to make sure that:

  • Everything is organized,
  • Things are reachable, and
  • There’s minimal clutter

By office, we mean your table where you work and if you work from home them that room.
